First BUCS Wednesday of the year!

So Summer is over, and the new year has begun. This only means one thing (although to be fair, the weather is changing a bit) tennis is back!

Every Week our 5 teams (3 men's and 2 women's) will battle it out in their individual bucs leagues! We had a succseful season last year, with the Women's 1s almost wining the title. Some of these matches will be away, and some will be on our home turf.

On Wednesday the 14th, there will be three matches being played on campus, and we want YOU to come and cheer our teams on! Even if you're only able to support a team for 10 minutes before your lecture etc, it makes all the difference to the players.

Order of play:

At 11am the Women's 1s will take on St John 1s in a York derby! (This will be played in the dome). Forgot Manchester United v Manchester City, Liverpool v Everton, this is the big one! Some say families have been torn apart by this fixture, we're only routing for one team though, come on UYTC! At 12pm the Men's 2s will play Leeds Beckett 5s (this will be on the outdoor courts behind the dome). If it is sunny this should be a great set of matches to watch, if it is overcast...bring a coat and enjoy the watching the athletes shiver. And at 2pm the Men's 1s will play Sheffield Hallam 1s (This will be played in the dome). The battle of the big cheeses, cheddar v wensleydale, who will win?
